In today’s edition of The Guardian, Save America Movement steering committee member

Dr. Angela Rasmussen

warns about the lack of pandemic preparedness under the Trump regime:

We have not even remotely maintained the level of pandemic preparedness – which needed a lot of work, as we saw from the Covid pandemic. But now, we essentially have no pandemic preparedness.

There is also a lack of information about the H5N1 (bird flu) outbreak:

We’re not testing – it’s not that there are no new cases…

…We still just don’t have a good picture of the scope and scale of this outbreak – we never really have. And until we have that, we’re not going to be able to contain it.

It’s extremely bad. We don’t have any information about what’s happening right now. The next pandemic could be starting, and we just don’t know where that’s happening, and we don’t have any ability to find out.

And a very dire warning from Dr. Rasmussen:

We are actively making people less safe, less healthy and more dead.
